THE WINNERS OF FINTECH GERMANY AWARD 2020 TO BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW
The FINTECH GERMANY AWARD(FTGA) 2020 edition will be held on Thursday, 17 September 2020, starting at 6.30 p.m. The event has 43 Fintech companies shortlisted to take part in the final pitch. The award is a renowned prize for startups and scale-ups whose business ideas have the potential to revolutionize or shape the financial sector. The award winners will not only have the opportunity to present their companies to a high-ranking audience but also network with members of the jury, representatives of the media, and the financial center of Frankfurt.
The FTGA is awarded to leading startup companies in the Finance universe. It was started in 2016 by Börsen-Zeitung (the leading German stock exchange daily), Frankfurt Main Finance e.V. (Frankfurt’s financial center initiative), and TechFluence (a leading FinTech consultancy boutique). The award provides entrepreneurs from the FinTech, InsurTech, RegTech, and adjacent sectors a big stage and the acknowledgment for their achievements since founding their companies.
The main categories to be awarded this year include the following:
•Best Foreign Entrant to Germany
In addition, the jury will award special awards in the subsectors of InsurTec, Blockchain, and Artificial intelligence.
Unlike in 2019, there are more sponsors in the 2020 edition. Ernst & Young(EY), Metzler, ODDO BHF, and Oliver Wyman still come back from 2019 as Sponsors. New entrants in the sponsorship list include Allianz, FRED Executive Search, Linklaters, Frankfurt Economic Development, Starbase, TechQuarier and WIBank. This brings the total number of sponsors to ten companies! The event has a total of 15 Partnering organizations with 5 airlines backing up the event as travel partners. The Lufthansa Group is the official travel partner of FTGA 2020.
Another remarkable fact: more than 200 young companies have applied or have been nominated by the jury.
Cashlink , Finanzguru by dwins GmbH, Fincite, Fintiba GmbH, Firamis GmbH, HAWK:AI, Idee and Myos, are eight great examples of companies with ties to our reginion — CONGRATULATIONS.
This year’s event will be moderated by Bianca Lopes, CEO of Talle, a global strategic media group specializing in supporting banks and fintechs to connect with the goal of transforming how innovation is done and Nektarios Liolios, an internationally recognized FinTech expert and entrepreneur. The event will take place at Tatcraft Studios.
“The event has now established itself in the financial center of Frankfurt and has become an important platform for the exchange of investors with the fintech scene.” Dr. Jens Zinke
